Since more and more people are making purchases online, so has the digital competition in this sector. In a survey of e-commerce, 350 industry professionals from across the world identified fierce competition as a major challenge to expansion in the next year. Ahead of the digital race, trends in search engine optimization were also released.
Although e-commerce stands to benefit the most from the post-pandemic era, firms of all sizes will face stiffer competition in the digital space. The Future of E-Commerce 2022 study polled 350 industry professionals, and they unanimously agreed that increased competition would be the largest challenge to the industry’s expansion that year. Since the majority of consumers now begin their shopping experiences with a search engine, it seems sense that businesses using e-commerce as a primary sales channel would place a premium on search engine optimization (SEO). According to the Search Engine Journal’s survey on the state of search engine optimization (SEO), 56 percent of respondents anticipate that corporate SEO budgets will grow in the next year.
Yusuf Sahin, a digital media specialist at Dataistanbul.com, offered his thoughts on the topic “With more and more companies vying for your attention online, ranking well in search engines is crucial. Oftentimes, individuals’ first encounter with a brand or product is via a search engine. The most popular search engine, Google, also features e-commerce sites that adhere to SEO standards. A large percentage of people who use search engines don’t even bother clicking through to the next page of results.”
Marketing departments’ top priority is a rise in website visits.
According to the poll results published in Search Engine Journal, 21.8% of firms have asked their SEO providers for more traffic. After increased brand awareness, higher search engine rankings (18.1%) was the second most requested feature by companies. “The algorithms that power search engines are constantly tweaked to improve the user experience and level the playing field for all firms. Focusing on content editing, page designs, and digital advertisements is essential to achieving high search engine exposure, achieving Position Zero, and capturing more site visitors. Four out of five customers want to make a purchase right now.
Dataistanbul.com’s Digital Media Specialist Yusuf Sahin summed up his assessments as follows, noting that 57% of consumer spending is now conducted online “Wunderman Thompson’s Future Shopper study highlights the importance of delivering a positive online shopping experience at all times. According to surveys of over 31,000 customers, the majority (80%) prefer a shorter time lag between discovering an item of interest and making a purchase. This means that companies must provide a uniform experience across all channels where they interact with consumers. In addition to SEO consulting, Dataistanbul.com offers services to help online retailers with their product sourcing, inventory management, customer support, and logistics.
