Stability AI, the company behind the image-generation model Stable Diffusion, has launched Stable Doodle, a new tool that can turn doodles into visually appealing photos. Stable Doodle gives consumers more exact control over the image production process by leveraging the capabilities of the Stable Diffusion XL model and a control solution called T2I-Adapter from Tencent’s Applied Research Center. The tool, which is available through Stability AI’s ClipDrop platform, intends to appeal to both pros and amateurs, allowing anyone with basic drawing abilities and internet connection to make high-quality creative images in seconds.
Stable Doodle distinguishes itself from competing sketch-to-image AI products by offering more control and customization possibilities. Users can guide the image generating process by providing a drawing and a suggestion, such as a specific style or theme. However, the present version of Stable Doodle only supports 14 different painting styles. Stability AI sees this tool as a significant resource for designers, illustrators, and other professionals, providing increased efficiency and time savings. While the output image quality is dependent on the intricacy of the initial sketch, the prompt’s descriptiveness, and the complexity of the scenario, Stability AI’s cherry-picked photos have gotten positive response.
Stability AI is launching Stable Doodle to diversify its revenue streams after a period of weaker commercial activity. The service is now available for free, albeit with some restrictions. Stability AI has obtained $25 million through a convertible note, giving its total capital raised to more than $125 million. The company is continuously exploring additional sources of investment and hopes to dramatically boost its current valuation of $1 billion. Stable Doodle is a first step in this approach, demonstrating Stability AI’s dedication to innovation and expanding its capabilities in the AI picture generating field.
