Verizon Jacks Up Smartwatch Prices by 50%!

We are facing a news that will change the balance in the smartwatch market. Verizon is raising the prices of its smartwatch plans. Moreover, this change will directly affect users’ pockets.

Verizon’s smartwatch plans will undergo a 50 percent price increase as of June 3. The new plans will cost $15 per month before taxes. This is a huge jump from the previous $10 price and a significant cost increase for users.

This price increase has, of course, caused discontent among users. In particular, customers on payment plans received information stating that there was no way to avoid the increase. “To continue to improve our industry-leading network and services, the price of certain Smartwatch data plans will change as of June 3, 2024,” company said in an email to customers.

The silver lining is that if you have a discount on your smartwatch line, it will be applied to the new pricing. However, for those who want to cancel the service due to the price increase, the situation is not encouraging. To conclude, users who have a smartwatch contract with Verizon will have to pay the remaining balance in full if they want to cancel the service.
