Gmail protects users against scammers with a new feature!

This new feature is seen as an important step in making users’ internet experience more secure and protected.

Gmail users will soon have access to a new security feature called “Advanced Safe Browsing” on the platform. This function, which was just disclosed via a banner message on Gmail, provides users with additional security against potentially harmful communications.

Users were first introduced to “Advanced Safe Browsing” in 2020, and it was also deployed for the Chrome browser. It adds extra security to your internet experience by scanning URLs, downloads, and browser extensions for potentially dangerous aspects like malware and phishing attempts.

This feature, unlike traditional security measures, evaluates risks using real-time data. Threat analysis is based on data from users’ browsing sessions and samples of pages visited.

Users can enable this function by directly accessing their account settings in Gmail by clicking on the link in the banner message. It can also be manually enabled in the options area. Google also claims to have enabled the Chrome browser’s “Advanced Secure Browsing” feature. To use this feature, the user must be logged in to the browser and synchronization must be enabled.

This new security feature is regarded as a major step in making users’ internet experiences safer and more secure. Users who want to improve the security of their email and web browsing can enable the option to have a safer online experience.
