What’s New in Windows 11 “Moment 5” Update?

The highly anticipated Windows 11 Moment 5 update is now available. This update brings a series of innovations and improvements that will make the operating system even easier to use. So, what awaits us in this update?

The update brings many new features that enrich the user experience. For example, the ‘smart snapping’ feature, which offers smart switching suggestions between app windows, helps you stay organized even when you have many apps open2. In addition, the update brings 29 changes and fixes that make the system more stable and secure.

What’s Changing with Windows 11 Moment 5?

Windows 11 Moment 5 makes features that were previously available to users as ‘optional updates’ now mandatory for everyone. This means that the ‘get the latest updates before everyone else’ option is no longer required to try out new features. After the update, users will be able to easily organize application windows to create a more efficient work environment.

The update also offers significant improvements for IT administrators. For example, Windows Hello for Business now works seamlessly for those using mobile device management (MDM). The update also makes Copilot available without signing in to your Microsoft account. This allows the Copilot icon to appear next to the date and time on PCs running with local accounts.

The April 2024 update also activates the controversial MSN cards for everyone. These cards show weather, money/financial, sports and traffic information directly on the unlocked screen and open Microsoft Edge when clicked2. Users will be able to customize the appearance of these cards from the settings menu.

The Windows 11 Moment 5 update introduces a number of improvements that will make the operating system even more user-friendly. With this update, users will have a more productive and enjoyable computing experience. Don’t forget to check out all the details of the update and our guide on how to install it. As CioUpdate, we will continue to update this content to keep you informed about new developments regarding the software update.
