Fisker, an EV Manufacturer, Looks into Partnership with Other Firms

Californian based EV manufacturer Fisker Inc. Chief Executive Henrik Fisker stated recently that the company is looking into collaborating with other firms in order to increase market share faster. Polestar and Smart, both funded by Mercedes and Chinese carmaker Geely, are also open to collaboration to overcome supply chain and technological issues. Fisker has 65,000 reservations for its Ocean SUV, which will be manufactured in Austria by a unit of Magna International Inc. Fisker’s next model line, the PEAR, will begin at $29,990 and will be unveiled for the first time on Aug.

Fisker will construct automobiles out of steel, merging several sections into one using single stampings, and the business hopes to eventually have production capacity in Europe, China, the United States, and India. Fisker is not basing its manufacturing strategy on government incentives such as the Inflation Reduction Act of the United States.
