Fisker, an electric vehicle company, just released its all-electric Ocean SUV in the United States and has teased future models such as a battery-powered sports car and an electric pickup truck. Henrik Fisker, CEO of Fisker Automotive, stated that the business is developing a new electric truck to compete with the Ford F-150 Lightning, Rivian R1T, and Tesla Cybertruck. Fisker has made strong claims about the pickup, claiming that it would be “the most sustainable truck on the market” with unique features. The Fisker Ocean SUV has a drop-down back window for extra-long cargo, and the truck may follow suit. The truck might be built on the same chassis as Fisker’s Ocean SUV, which began delivering in Europe in May.
The 113kWh battery pack from the Ocean might possibly be employed in the Fisker pickup. Fisker stated that the new vehicle will be “a proper pick-up” with all of the practicalities of a truck and a “really sporty look.” This information, however, is confined to Fisker’s future vehicle. The question is whether the world needs another electric pickup truck or whether Fisker is better suited to creating smaller EVs after starting with an SUV.
