Huawei announces new event: Watch GT 4 is coming!

The Huawei Watch GT 4 series will replace the Huawei Watch GT 3, whose base model was launched in October 2021.

Huawei is preparing to attract worldwide attention with a major event in Barcelona on September 14th. This event, which will be called “Garment Strategy and New Product Launch”, will introduce new products that the technology world is eagerly waiting for. The watch dial image on the company’s official poster indicates that Huawei may make an important surprise in the smartwatch category at this event.

Allegedly, the Huawei Watch GT 4 series will be unveiled at this event. Although no official announcement has been made yet, traces of this series have been found on different certification sites.

Certification documents are emerging

A report dated August 2023 revealed that the Huawei Watch GT 4 series is listed on the Bluetooth SIG certification site with four different model numbers. These models are: Huawei Watch GT 4 (PNX-B19), Huawei Watch H5546 (PNX-B19B), Huawei Qingyun H5546 (PNX-B19B) and Huawei Watch GT 4 (AR-B19). Allegedly, these smartwatches will use the HarmonyOS 4.0 operating system and support Bluetooth version 5.2.

The Huawei Watch GT 4 series will replace the Huawei Watch GT 3, whose base model was launched in October 2021. Likewise, the Pro model will be the successor to the Watch GT 3 Pro, which was launched in April 2022. As a reminder, the Watch GT 3 offers 32 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage capacity.

Competition heats up in the smartwatch market

Huawei’s event will take place just two days after Apple’s “Wonderlust” event. This will intensify the competition in the smartwatch market. Full details about the Huawei Watch GT 4 series and the official launch will be announced at the Barcelona event on September 14.
