Microsoft Plans to Enchnace Bing With AI

Microsoft’s search engine will reportedly use the artificial intelligence behind ChatGPT to answer some queries. The new feature could launch before the end of March and Microsoft hopes it will help it surpass Google. Bing was the world’s second most popular search engine in 2022, with 3.04% of the market share, according to Statcounter. However, Microsoft aims higher.

Far From Being Perfect

Microsoft, which invested $1 billion in OpenAI in 2019, is now preparing to make use of ChatGPT. It’s estimated that the ability of ChatGPT that could answer questions without the need of internet connection could be an essential part of the new version of the search engine. Yet, the tech giant refused to make comment about the recent ChatGPT news regarding so-called test drive of the AI by Google. Of course, ChatGPT is far from being perfect as the representatives of OpenAI have acknowledged that ChatGPT “sometimes writes plausible-sounding but incorrect or nonsensical answers.” and the model “is often excessively verbose and overuses certain phrases, such as restating that it’s a language model trained by OpenAI.”
