Microsoft’s Apps are Going to be Priced Differently

Microsoft’s Apps are Going to be Priced Differently

Microsoft is offering to build a version of its Office and Microsoft 365 productivity package that does not include the Teams video conferencing and collaboration tool.

Microsoft has released a new procedure for Teams users. According to this news, the corporation would implement a scheme in which consumers will be charged varying fees for Office. Several companies have complained in the last month that they have tied Microsoft’s messaging service to the market-dominant productivity suite, driving customers out and keeping out competitors. As a result, Microsoft proposed developing a version of its Office and Microsoft 365 productivity suites that did not include the Teams video conferencing and collaboration tool. Prices may fluctuate as a result, according to the firm.

“As a major technology company, we recognize our responsibilities in the EU,” Microsoft specialists said. In reality, we have been working with the Commission throughout the process. We are open to and will adopt pragmatic ideas that solve their problems while also providing excellent customer service.”

Furthermore, Microsoft is alleged to have received numerous complaints about its Teams program, which includes Slack. Nextcloud, for example, complained to the EU about the way Microsoft packaged OneDrive with the Windows operating system. Other businesses are bringing complaints for identical reasons. Although the problem is still being worked on, people are hungry for more information.

“We know Microsoft is trying to work things out with small businesses,” a person close to the situation says, “but we don’t believe that secret one-sided offers are the way to solve industry-wide problems.” Experts also suggest that all agreements should be based on principles and that any measures used should be thoroughly legalized.
