New Chatbot Bing Chat Set to Debut on Mobile Browsers

Expansion of Microsoft’s Bing Chat to Mobile Browsers

Microsoft is extending the reach of its artificial intelligence-powered service, Bing Chat, by making it accessible on mobile browsers. Initially launched in February, Bing Chat was exclusively available through Android and iOS apps. However, Microsoft has now decided to bring Bing Chat to mobile web browsers as well, expanding its usage area.

Broadening Accessibility

According to a company statement, Microsoft is excited to offer users the opportunity to access summary answers, image creation, and more through the AI-powered Bing Chat on third-party mobile browsers. This expansion comes in response to the growing popularity of Bing Chat on the Edge browser over the past six months. With this development, the Bing Chat experience will be accessible not only through dedicated apps but also on popular desktop browsers like Chrome and Safari.

Usage and Impact

Microsoft has reported significant user interest and engagement with Bing Chat since its initial launch. The service has facilitated more than 1 billion conversations and has been used to create over 750 million images. These usage statistics highlight the positive reception and utility of Bing Chat’s features among users.

Windows Copilot Integration

Furthermore, Microsoft is planning to introduce its Bing Chat-based Windows Copilot feature to Windows 11 users. Windows Copilot, designed as a sidebar service, is currently undergoing testing on Windows 11 versions. This feature is expected to become available to all Windows 11 users in the near future, enhancing the user experience and productivity of the operating system.

The expansion of Bing Chat to mobile web browsers demonstrates Microsoft’s commitment to making its AI-powered services more widely accessible across different platforms. The positive reception and usage of Bing Chat’s features contribute to the overall growth and enhancement of Microsoft’s ecosystem of AI-driven tools and applications.
