Twitter announced on Thursday that certain content creators on the social media site will be eligible to receive a portion of the company’s advertising revenue.
According to Twitter, content producers will receive a cut of money from adverts displayed in their replies. To be eligible, creators must be verified users with at least 5 million impressions on their posts in the last three months and have a Stripe payment account.
Twitter is attempting to entice more content creators to join the platform. Earlier this year, the business enabled users to charge for access to their material on the site.
Elon Musk, the billionaire who purchased Twitter last October, previously stated that the firm will pass on all subscription money to artists in the first year, barring payment gateway fees.
