Apple is believed to have acquired servers equipped with Nvidia’s HGX H100 8-GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) for efficient AI training and intends to upgrade to the B100 model next year. Each Nvidia HGX H100 server costs around $250,000.
The company’s investment in AI servers is aimed at bolstering its AI capabilities, particularly for training large language models. Apple is inclined to use its own servers rather than relying on external cloud service providers to enhance security and privacy.
