Beyoncé will donate $2 million to students and entrepreneurs on her Renaissance World Tour through her BeyGOOD Foundation. This is regarded as singer’s first steps into becoming a business leader. Since 2013, the foundation has supported humanitarian efforts in the United States and across the world, such as providing help to communities hit by natural disasters, encouraging education, and funding initiatives that address concerns such as housing shortage and mental health.
The organization will conduct events in towns along the Renaissance World Tour, where entrepreneurs will compete for $1 million in awards. The Renaissance Scholarship Fund will distribute an additional $1 million to ten schools and universities along the tour route. Beyoncé’s foundation provides funding to organizations that benefit underrepresented populations, with an emphasis on economic fairness and education. It believes that everyone has the right to economic fairness and is cognizant of access, opportunity, and resource restrictions that disproportionately affect BIPOC populations.
