Facebook Removes Messenger Support From the Apple Watch

Messenger’s support on Apple Watch will end on May 31, 2023, according to the social media company.

Facebook has stated that support for the Messenger app for Apple Watch will end on May 31, 2023. The decision is believed to have been made to improve the app and the user experience.

According to Facebook, the decision to cease Messenger functionality on Apple Watch ensures that the software can be upgraded and improved in the future to give a better user experience. However, as a result of this decision, Apple Watch users will no longer be able to utilize the Messenger app and will have to rely on alternative messaging apps to stay in touch.

Apple Watch users will be able to connect to their iPhone for messaging by using the iMessage app. Because other chat apps are also compatible with Apple Watch, the removal of Messenger support will not be a significant loss for Apple Watch users.
