Godrej Aerospace of India announced on Monday that it is hoping to join the supply chain for the GE 414 engines that will power India’s next generation indigenous fighter fighters.
During a site inspection, a company official told Reuters that Godrej Aerospace will pitch for the manufacturing of engine modules.
The engines will be manufactured jointly by GE and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, according to an agreement revealed during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official visit to the United States last month.
