According to a report published by Counterpoint Research in the third quarter of 2023, Hisilicon, a subsidiary of Huawei, holds the fifth position in the global chipset market with a 3% share. This achievement was particularly enabled by the sales of Huawei’s Mate 60 series, which uses the Kirin processor and has achieved high sales figures in China.
Huawei’s Kirin processor competes in the global chipset market with other major chip manufacturers like Qualcomm, Apple, MediaTek, and Samsung. Qualcomm leads with a 40% market share, followed by Apple with 31%, MediaTek with 15%, and Samsung with 7%. Following Huawei, Unisoc holds the sixth position with a 2% market share, and Google’s Tensor SoC is seventh with a 1% share.
