The Huawei Watch GT4 will be available in the UK and Europe from October 4.
The Huawei Watch GT4 comes in two stylish options: 41mm “Pendant Design” and 46mm “Octagonal Design”. It has also upgraded TruSeen 5.5+ technology, a new suite of sensors and algorithms for more accurate and more detailed health tracking.
The choice between 41 mm and 46 mm depends on battery life and which look you prefer. Both options start at 250 Euros. We’ll cover more detailed pricing later in the article. In terms of battery life, the larger model lasts up to 14 days and the smaller model up to 7 days.
Both have 20% better battery life than the previous GT3 model. The new series also features an improved Always On Display mode, which can have 20% more visible elements than before.
The 46mm model has a 1.43-inch display, while the 41mm model has a 1.32-inch display. Both have AMOLED displays and a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels (with a pixel density of 326ppi and 352ppi respectively).
TruSeen 5.5+ brings the new TruSleep 3.0 technology. This includes Sleep Tracking and helps you track your sleep cycles and improve your sleep habits. In addition, Sleep Respiratory Awareness monitors your heart rate and SpO2 during sleep and alerts you to any breathing issues.
The other new addition is Menstrual Cycle Management 3.0. Huawei claims that this is 15% more accurate in first-day menstrual predictions than mainstream smartwatches. This technology predicts periods by monitoring heart rate, sleep temperature and other physiological factors during sleep and records symptoms in real time.
For exercising outdoors, dual-band, five-system GNSS provides 30% more accurate positioning, even between tall buildings. The watch can track more than 100 sports (now including Padel and even e-sports).
The new Stay Fit feature helps you track your calorie intake with real-time health data. Activity Rings give you a snapshot of how you’re doing throughout the day (showing calorie burn, exercise time and standing activity).
Huawei Watch GT4 works with both Android and iOS smartphones. It also integrates with apps like Strava, Komoot, Runtastic and Huawei’s own Petal Maps. It can show texts from SMS, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, Skyp, Signal, Telegram and Viber and send quick replies. The device also supports Bluetooth calls.
The Huawei Watch GT4 will be available in the UK and Europe from October 4th. It will be available from the Huawei Store and retailers including Amazon, Argos, Boots and Currys. Pre-orders start today on the Huawei Store. If you buy one by October 15, you’ll get a free pair of Huawei FreeBuds SE 2.
The Huawei Watch GT4 46mm starts at 250 euros for the black rubber strap (fluroelastomer material). Then there’s the Brown Leather option and the GMT in Rainforest Green, both at 270 Euros. The GMT version has a braided composite strap made of recycled ocean-based nylon. The top model is the Steel version with a 316L stainless steel bracelet, which costs 350 euros.
