Leaks about the display specs of Apple’s iPhone 16 series planned for 2024 have sparked much curiosity in the tech world. The iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max models will feature larger displays: 6.27 inches and 6.86 inches respectively, both equipped with 120Hz LTPO panels. The fact that the 16 Pro Max model in particular will come with such a large screen raises doubts for some, so it’s worth taking this information with a grain of salt.
On the other hand, the situation looks different for the standard iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models. The screen sizes of these models are not expected to change; the 6.12-inch and 6.69-inch screen sizes and 60Hz refresh rate will remain the same. This information was confirmed by industry insider Ross Young, who said that the Pro Motion feature will come to standard models in 2025.
Returning to the 2024 iPhone 16 models, all models are expected to have Dynamic Island, suggesting that Apple is constantly updating the user experience. However, the displays on Apple’s expensive base models may not look competitive when compared to Android’s flagship and mid-range phones. Low refresh rate displays in particular could be a disappointment for some iPhone users.
