Mercedes-Benz integrates ChatGPT into its vehicles

Users will be able to add the ChatGPT capability to their automobiles via a software update thanks to this utility.

Mercedes-Benz recently announced its intention to integrate a huge language model, ChatGPT, into its automobiles. This model, which kicked off the “artificial intelligence” boom, is now making its way into the car industry.

The beta program will be available to about 900,000 Mercedes drivers in the United States. Users will be able to add the ChatGPT capability to their vehicles via a software update as a result of this program. ChatGPT, according to the German automaker, would supplement the present “Hey Mercedes” voice assistant by responding to a broader variety of orders and even having a whole conversation.

Mercedes’ innovation allows drivers to ask ChatGPT whatever question they wish while stuck in traffic. “Participants will be able to get a more comprehensive response when they ask the Voice Assistant for details about their destination, a dinner recipe suggestion, or an answer to a complex question,” according to a news release from the business. The Mercedes-Benz app will also provide access to the program. Drivers will also be able to use their phones to communicate about a variety of topics via ChatGPT.

In addition to this breakthrough, General Motors is said to be working on a voice assistant powered by ChatGPT. This suggests that artificial intelligence will become increasingly prevalent in the automotive industry. Mercedes-Benz’s choice to include ChatGPT into its vehicles exemplifies advancements at the junction of the AI and automotive industries. Drivers will now have a more thorough and interactive experience, which will provide them with more enjoyment and information on their journey.
