Moto X50 Ultra, which was first mentioned in February, is back on the agenda with a recent video teaser.
Motorola has once again hinted at the mysterious Moto X50 Ultra. This phone could have a similar design to the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra and offer more AI features. This smartphone, which was first mentioned back in February, is back in the spotlight with a recent video teaser. This teaser, referring to the F1 Grand Prix event in China at the same time, made us think that the phone could be unveiled during or after the event. However, this was not the case. Some reports have suggested that the Moto X50 Ultra could launched in May.
The company teased the phone in two different Weibo posts on April 20. The first post shared an image of the phone next to a poster of the F1 Grand Prix event. Notably, Motorola’s parent company Lenovo is one of the event’s sponsors. “Feel the speed and passion with the #motoX50 Ultra AI cell phone #motoAI coming soon,” the brand said in the post.
Motorola also shared another video showing the phone from different angles, including a snapshot of the Grand Prix event. Based on its design, the phone looks almost identical to the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra that launched globally last week. While it shares the same design, including the tree back panel option, it’s possible that the X50 Ultra has made some changes internally.
Motorola is marking the phone as an “AI phone” and this is a first for the brand. The company has equipped the Edge 50 Ultra with some generative AI features (such as a wallpaper generator and using AI to adjust camera settings). But the phone was not marketed as an AI phone. This has led to speculation that the Moto X50 Ultra could bring more AI features and accompanying hardware.
