Xperia 1 VI: Innovative Camera
- The Xperia 1 VI comes with a new camera compared to its predecessor: the periscope telephoto. This camera can focus from 85mm to 170mm and has 7x optical zoom compared to the primary camera.
- Although the teaser video only shows the zoom up to 138mm, its true potential will be revealed at launch.
Display and Performance
- The new Xperia 1 VI will come with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio display, a departure from the series’ previous 21:9 cinematographic look.
- While there is a possibility that 4K resolution will be dropped, the device is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and will have 12/16 GB RAM options.
Software and User Experience
- The main camera and ultra-wide-angle camera on the Xperia 1 V will remain the same, but will be supported by improved software processing.
- Sony will finally offer a single unified camera app, which should improve the user experience.
