The new face of macOS Sonoma: Meet the 14.2 update!

This update offers many innovations and improvements for macOS users.

Apple has released macOS Sonoma 14.2 update to improve users’ experience. This update draws attention with the Autofill feature developed especially for PDF files. This new feature, which automatically fills in contact information so that users can easily fill in PDF form fields, aims to increase productivity.

The macOS Sonoma 14.2 update also offers improvements in Messages and Weather apps. In the Messages app, an arrow has been added to quickly jump to the first unread message. There’s also an option to add labels directly to chat bubbles, and automatic alerts and contact verification codes to ensure that people, especially those exposed to digital threats, are communicating with the right people.

In the Weather app, precipitation information and new widgets have been added to provide information about rain and snow conditions for the next 10 days. These widgets show current conditions such as precipitation for the next hour, daily forecasts, sunrise and sunset times. In addition, the wind map snapshot makes it possible to assess wind patterns and prepare for the wind conditions forecast for the next 24 hours.

macOS Sonoma Features

In the Clock app, there are new features such as the ability to run multiple timers and name each one. There are also options for quick launching timers and restarting recently used timers.

Other notable features include a Favorite Songs Playlist for quickly finding favorite songs in Apple Music, the ability to disable the option to use Listening History so that music listened to is not added to Recent Plays or affects recommendations, and Shazam Music Recognition so you can quickly identify songs playing in your neighborhood or online. There are also new keyboard layouts that support 7 different Sámi languages.

However, some features may not be available in all regions or on all Apple devices.

It’s clear that this update brings many new features and improvements for macOS users. Especially in daily use areas such as PDF form filling, messaging and weather tracking, these innovations can positively affect the user experience. It also seems that important steps have been taken in terms of security and efficiency. How Apple responds to user needs with such updates shows the brand’s innovative approach to technology.
