As a full-size SUV, the Aito M9 measures 5,230 mm long, 1,999 mm wide and 1,800 mm high, with a wide wheelbase of 3,110 mm.
Huawei and Seres have collaborated to create a new addition to the world of electric vehicles. The flagship SUV model Aito M9 was unveiled at the Guangzhou Motor Show, promising an intriguing combination of technology, power and attractive pricing.
The Aito M9 is ready to capture the attention of potential buyers with its competitive pricing. During the pre-sale period, excited customers can reserve this high-end SUV with a deposit of RMB 5,000 (€652). Early birds will receive €1,300 off the final sale price. The expected selling price ranges from RMB 500,000 to 600,000 (€65,000 to €75,000). Not only that, those who place an order will receive a special treatment, which includes the opportunity to visit the factory where the Aito M9 is produced.
The excitement for the Aito M9 is palpable, with the manufacturers reporting that they have received more than 20,000 pre-orders in a short period of time. This wave of interest began on September 25 and is testament to the appeal of the electric SUV. The official start of sales will take place next month.
As a full-size SUV, the Aito M9 measures 5,230 mm long, 1,999 mm wide and 1,800 mm high, with a wide wheelbase of 3,110 mm. Rolling on 265/40 R22 and 285/40 R22 tires, it makes its presence felt on the road. But it’s not just about size, it’s also about substance and style.
The Aito M9 is available in both electric-only and range extender (EREV) versions. The electric version has a dual-motor setup powered by Huawei technology. The front motor delivers 160 kW, while the rear motor produces an impressive 230 kW. With a 97,682 kWh ternary battery pack manufactured by CATL, this electric SUV can cover 630 km on a single charge.
On the other hand, the EREV version is equipped with a 1.5T engine and two electric motors. The engine produces 112 kW of power but only acts as a generator. The front engine adds 165 kW, while the rear engine contributes another 112 kW. This combination, together with a 40 kWh battery pack, offers a pure electric range of up to 175 km.
The Aito M9 is the result of a fruitful collaboration between Huawei and Seres. Seres handles the manufacturing side, while Huawei brings its expertise in electric motors, chips, sensors and other critical components to the table. This collaboration has already achieved success in the Chinese market with the M5 and M7 SUV models. In particular, the revamped model of the Aito M7 garnered more than 40,000 orders shortly after its launch.
