Users will be able to quickly access their locked chats by typing the secret code into the search bar.
WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow users to make chats even more secure by using the lock feature. This feature will give users the option to use a code to hide and access their chats.
Secret code to quickly find chats
The secret code feature is now available in the Android beta (v2.23.21.9). Users will be able to quickly access locked chats by typing the secret code in the search bar. This will make it easier to find locked chats.
The secret code can be a word or even an emoji. After creating this secret code, users will be able to access their locked chats by typing it in the search bar. In this way, the secret code will show the identified chats and provide quick access.
As WABetaInfo reports, the secret code feature is currently in development and has not been rolled out to beta testers. Once development is complete, the feature will be rolled out to beta users and is expected to be generally available later.
As we reported last May, WhatsApp introduced the Chat Lock feature. With this feature, users can keep their messages and conversations private by protecting them with options such as password, fingerprint or face lock. With this new feature, users will be able to further secure their sensitive conversations by customizing their passwords. Users will be able to change or remove their secret passwords at any time.
